How We Work
Our personnel bring to each project international experience in development, design and management, creating design and planning concepts that perform as business solutions for our clients.
For us, the core of each project is to develop a sound understanding of each client’s needs and their individual, commercial realities. We take care to ensure that this detailed understanding is maintained throughout each project meaning that the client's objectives, criteria and standards are consistently met in each project.
Our principal, Richard de Vries, is directly and fully involved in each project that we undertake. Whilst we have extensive experience in many areas, we understand that some projects require specialist input. Where required, we will commission relevant specialists to assist in providing our clients with the best possible outcome.
Best Practice Design Process
Each project is different and each client has different requirements. With the understanding that we build of each client's business and the way they work, we take the time create a comprehensive Space Requirement Profile and then to assess and test-fit the different building options offered by your Corporate Real Estate Agent. This ensures that when a lease is signed, different layout options have been explored to maximize the effectiveness of space usage and to value-add. An optimum list of project requirements is proposed in close consultation with the Client to resolve potentially conflicting needs.
Code and Regulatory Compliance
In addition to possessing extensive design and management experience, we recognize that an essential part of each development concerns the challenges of meeting regulatory and compliance issues related to the design, construction and commissioning of the project. Even at the initial planning stage, compliance with the Building Code of Australia and the Australian Standards covering Disabled Access (AS 1428.1 & the Disability Discrimination Act) are critical to ensure the viability of any project.
We make it our business to keep abreast of current codes and requirements in the locations where we work to ensure that each project is in strict compliance with all relevant codes and standards with all necessary certification in place prior to occupation.
